Mosaic Project
A mosaic project created by students of Shakespeare School, Plymouth began in the latter part of 2022 and was aided by a grant of £500, combined with a Community Grant, awarded by The Arts Society South Devon. Our Chair was invited in May2024 to view the completed work and the accompanying plaque acknowledging the Society's support.

Sponsoring the printing of a guide to the Tavistock Textile.
Measuring 240cm x110cm the Tavistock Textile is a social history in fabric created by the ladies of the Tavistock Embroiderers’ Guild. Six years in the making the Textile tells the story of the everyday lives of those who lived and worked in Tavistock through the ages. Having now been completed the Textile will be hung in Tavistock Guildhall.
Young Arts Projects
Working with City College Plymouth taking Art & Enterprise out into the community to help bring pleasure to others. Linking with a local nursing home and Stoke Damerel Church, the severely autistic students worked on making sensory works of art to create pleasant areas to sit in, in gardens and courtyards.
Works included fabric painting on soft furnishings for the chairs and for mobiles to hang in the trees. They also made ‘twiddle muffs’ for those living with Dementia. .
Working with Plymouth Theatre Royal delivering a large scale community performance on the Theatre Royal’s Lyric stage for the Mayflower 2020 celebrations featuring children & adults as well as the Native American Tribe, the Wampanoag.
